Amid the biggest border crisis in generations, California Governor Gavin Newsom plans to pour gas on the fire. As part of his new budget, he announced that California will provide illegal immigrants with free food and health care. In doing so, it sends a loud and clear message to those considering joining the masses illegally crossing our southern border: California is here to greet you with free stuff.

The benefits are in addition to free education for your children and the guarantee that many will be safe from deportation, which California already had in place. (Illegal immigrants are often safe from deportation even if arrested, convicted, and serving time in a California prison — many are released onto the streets without ever being asked about their immigration status.)

What’s amazing about the new benefits is that there’s no limit on who can qualify. Those who cross the border illegally tomorrow are still eligible!

In the past, the question of how to deal with the problem of illegal immigration has been a thorny issue for both parties. Conservatives reluctantly acknowledge that deporting all illegal immigrants is impractical. They also recognize that having millions of people living mostly underground and paying no taxes is not healthy for a society. And the Liberals have also recognized that they cannot demand a path to legal residency, or citizenship, without restricting it to those who are already here, or it will only encourage others to come.

Thus, virtually all of the bipartisan solutions offered to provide a pathway to legal status applied only to people who entered the country before a certain date and were combined with increased border security to effectively and permanently end the process. ‘illegal immigration. Any other plan would further encourage illegal immigration and therefore would not solve the problem.

But Democrats are no longer liberals, they are progressives. And progressives don’t think America should have borders. They don’t want a solution to more illegal immigration. They want more illegal immigration! Thus, they provide benefits to those who are yet to come like a carrot.

This is the grand conspiracy between President Biden and Governor Newsom. They work together to implement their collectivist, globalist, socialist, “America Last” agenda. Newsom lures them in with the promise of shelter and food, free health care and education, and Biden leaves the door open.

They learned about this globalist European Union program which, in 2015-2016, allowed millions of so-called asylum seekers to enter the EU, even though most were not eligible for asylum. asylum, and provided them with a host of benefits upon arrival.

Biden opened the door by ending Trump’s Mexico policy. The Supreme Court recently ruled that Biden was not required to maintain this policy because the law simply states that the government “may” return asylum seekers to Mexico, not must. However, the law also stipulates that asylum seekers “shall be detained” pending their hearing. The Biden administration is blatantly violating this provision.

Of course, Biden could not implement the second part because extending federal benefits to illegal immigrants would require a change in federal law. But that’s where Newsom comes in, offering such benefits from the largest state in the land.

And if he succeeds, he will soon try to implement it across the country as president. We know he plans to run because a) Biden is physically unable to run, b) Biden has no support even within his own party, c) Newsom started running campaign ads in Florida where his likely opponent (DeSantis or Trump) resides, and d) he has run for president his entire adult life.

If you think a lethargic President Biden is bad, the prospect of an energetic President Newsom is far scarier.
